Under the federal No Surprises Act, health care providers must give clients who are uninsured or who choose not to use insurance an estimate of expected charges for services. Your Therapy Nook is a private-pay practice, so this right applies to every client here.
You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate, in writing, of the total expected cost of your child's care, including therapy sessions, parent coaching, and any other services we provide.
You can ask for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule a service, or at any point during care. We also provide one as part of starting therapy.
Our fees are straightforward and published on our rates page: sessions run $200 to $270 depending on the therapist, parent coaching is billed at the same session rate, and out-of-session consultations are prorated at your therapist's rate. Because therapy is ongoing and the length of care varies by child, your estimate will show the cost per session and an estimated total based on expected frequency and duration, which we will review with you honestly as care proceeds.
If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill through the federal patient-provider dispute resolution process.
Make sure to save a copy or photo of your Good Faith Estimate.
